When thinking about social media I like to look at a simple term known as Virality. Virality is the passing on throughout many social medias of a certain post or information produced by maybe a news outlet or some type of organization or even just a person themselves. An example I found to be important when thinking about something going viral on the media is a facebook post I had seen a couple days ago that had over 50,000 shares. This post was by a mother whose daughter had lost her Minnie Mouse doll. This little girl, no older than 13, kept this doll with her throughout many brain surgeries. One day she wasn’t able to find and thinks she lost it somewhere and was devastated and heartbroken. The mother shared the post and it went viral and so many people around the country had been searching for this doll. Eventually the mother had found the doll in her house, therefore never being lost. The crazy thing about this, at least to me, is that all of these random people throughout the country were sharing this post and even looking around for this little girl’s doll whom they didn’t even know. Virality is such an awesome concept when it comes to certain scares like this one. Im so glad this little girl was able to find her doll because I am sure that it felt like the world was ending without it. I myself know that when I was younger and I had lost something important to me I would drop everything I had going on just to search everywhere until I found it. https://www.inquirer.com/health/minnie-mouse-missing-brain-surgery-chop-20200107.html
